Healthy skin is not that easy to manage, one needs to take special care of the skin so that it remains healthy or if one does not has a good skin and wants it to be healthy then in order to do that, he/she will have to take some measures to make skin healthy. Skin is the most important aspect of physical appearance as it is the covering of the body and it is considered as the largest organ of the body. Skin is a very delicate aspect of our body therefore; special care should be done for it. There are some essential vitamins and minerals which can be used in order to make skin healthy.
There are many problems and consequences that are caused by the deficiency of vitamins and minerals, many diseases are caused directly and some are caused indirectly. Those diseases that are caused directly are easy to diagnose and easy to find and cure. But those diseases that are caused indirectly are not easy to diagnose and are sometimes life threatening. For example fats that are imposed by taking high caloric food are then responsible for loose and poorly figured body shape. It also causes many diseases such as growth of cancerous cells and heart strokes. So vitamins and minerals should be taken instead of caloric food.
The most common vitamin for healthy skin is Vitamin A. Vitamin A prevents skin from being dry; in short it moisturizes skin and keeps it protected from wrinkles plus dull skin. Vitamin A can be taken in by the use of milk, eggs, leafy green vegetables etc. Vitamin A also makes skin color fairer.
Another important vitamin for healthy skin is Vitamin B complex and the most important form of B complex is B1, B3 and B7. B1 gives a shine to the skin. B3 prevents skin from acne problems and niacin which is a form of B3 is very crucial as it keeps skin moisturized. Then there is B7 which forms the origin of skin. Vitamin B complex can be achieved from meat products, potatoes, bananas, beans, whole grains etc.
Important minerals include zinc which prevents skin from being oily because of which many products preventing acne contains zinc. Its sources are wheat, seeds like mustard, beans, nuts etc. As zinc helps in cell growth so it is important for skin because skin is also renewing by the process of mitosis.
Another important mineral is copper. Copper helps skin to become elastic. It prevents skin from aging because of which anti-aging products use copper. Dry fruits like cashew, almonds also contain copper. Copper makes sure that anti oxidants in skin works properly.
There are many other vitamins and minerals that are also important for healthy skin like Vitamin E and C, minerals like selenium. The above mentioned vitamins and minerals are very important for a healthy skin and if one adds them to his/her diet; the result will be beyond belief healthy skin. So, to make skin beautiful and naturally healthy these vitamins and minerals should be used.
