Undoing your mistakes is a lot more effective and a lot less painful that covering them up. And although this can be applied to many things in life, it sure is true when it comes to tattoos. If Spike TV's new show, "Tattoo Nightmares" has taught me anything, it's that it's a lot more painful to cover up a tattoo than to remove one.
Not to mention, it looks a whole lot better to have tattoo-free skin than it does to have skin that has been punctured so many times that scarring develops. This is just one of the ramifications of having a tattoo covered up versus removed. Do you have a tattoo that you regret? Do you want to avoid causing your skin any further damage?
Laser Tattoo Removal is your answer. It's the only way to remove your tattoo with scarring your skin. This is generally a gradual process, depending on the size and colour of the tattoo, of course. But it certainly is a great way to do away with a mistake without having to go through the excruciating pain felt by some people on that new reality series.
Instead of going for a painful cover up, make the Q-Switch Laser your saviour. Using pulses of light energy, the laser is used in the safe removal of skin pigmentations such as birthmarks, brown spots and you guessed it, tattoos. It rapidly heats up the ink or natural pigmentation to break down the cells.
The coloured cells are damaged and broken down so that they can be replaced with new un-pigmented or un-inked skin. And here's the best part - the average Q-Switch Laser appointment is no more than five to ten minutes long. A tattoo cover up, on the other hand, could mean several hours of pain.
Even with four to eight treatments - which is often required for optimum results - you still won't experience the long and agonizing time frame that is commonplace for the covering up of tattoos. Not to mention, you'll no longer have to live with the constant reminder that you made a poor decision.
Now we know that getting a tattoo hurts. But, to be fair, does removing one cause any pain? It should go without saying that either process is bound to cause come discomfort. To assist with this, an anesthetic cream is placed on the area to be treated two hours prior to the laser treatment. As Discovery Fit & Health mentions, however, not all patients feel that this is necessary.
It all depends on your pain threshold, I suppose. Some people liken the feeling of getting a tattoo removed to that of being snapped with a rubber band or getting specks of bacon grease on your skin. Of course, it's highly recommended that you consult a skin care specialist for more information before booking your Laser Tattoo Removal appointment.
