Fiber rich foods can help you remedy constipation because these types of foods act as natural laxatives. These foods include bananas, apples, blueberries, oats, cabbages, carrots, wheat bran, whole grains, beans, nuts and other foods rich in fiber.
2. Increase water intake.
Drinking plenty of water is very helpful in easing constipation. Water increases bowel movements, making it softer and enabling your bowel to pass through easier.
3. Drink yogurt.
Yogurt can also alleviate constipation because it enhances the growth of good bacteria that helps your digestion perform its normal function, thus promoting normal digestion. Everyone should be encouraged to make it a habit to drink yogurt, since you could benefit a lot from it.
4. Drink coffee.
Aside from its rich and delicious taste, coffee can also help you solve your constipation problem. Coffee is found to stimulate the intestines and drinking at least one to two cups of this beverage daily will improve your bowel movement.
5. Drink lemon juice with warm water.
One of the best remedies that you can try when you are constipated is to drink lemon juice three times a day. This method has been found to effectively cure constipation.
6. Eat raisins.
Raisins are also considered a solution to constipation because they act as a natural laxative. Raisins are also rich in fiber and iron which helps promote good elimination of fecal matter.
7. Avoid processed foods.
Avoiding processed foods will help you prevent worsening your constipation. Noodles, pickles, lunch meats and other foods that are processed are not easily digested, thus it will not help you cure your constipation. Indulge yourself in fruits and vegetables instead, as these may help you increase your bowel movements.
8. Physical activities.
Constipation can also be remedied by physical activities. Certain activities like yoga, outdoor games, exercises and walking can relieve your constipation by improving your bowel and digestive system functions.
